Search Engine Visibility is a concise 300 page book which details everything you need to do with your website in order to optimise it so that search engines can spider and list your pages.

This is a great book for people who need to learn about search engine optimisation, it’s a book you should really read before you begin designing your web pages, as the changes to current pages may take more time than using the advice when beginning your projects.

This is a book for beginners and intermediary web designers as it does contain some fairly straight forward basic advice about certain parts of your webpages such as always adding title tags and always adding alt tags to images where appropriate. There are some good sections on researching and gathering keyword lists, as well as sections discussing CSS and Pay per Placement advertising.

I must admit there was not a lot of new tips that I learnt from reading this book but it did make me think about certain areas and it also was a great refresher for me, as there may have been certain areas I had forgotten about.

This is not a book that will teach you how to get you listed in the top of search results, but it will give you hundreds of tips on how to make your web site as visible to search engines as possible. Search Engine Visibility is easy to read and is well laid out with a good number of diagrams to help you.
