Reviews of this product:
A Very Good Book This book covers 3 main topics,in just over 400 pages. You'd maybe think that this was too much for a small-medium size book to cover well. Fear not - all 3 topics are well explained and useful workshops are included, too. For RAC, I would absolutely recommend "Pro Oracle Database 10g RAC on Linux" by Dyke & Shaw, as it's an enclyclopedia of RAC, and fills-in any gaps that "Oracle Database 10g High Availability with RAC..." has.
Explains high availability and the tools to use I found this book very useful. As a novice OCP DBA I especially found the introduction to RAC and the step by step approach in the workshops very useful. The workshops can easily be tried out on your own LINUX box. Likewise I found the coverage of standby databases and how to use RMAN in a high availability environment very useful. I can recommend this book for its easy read and good way of explaining complicated issues like setting up RAC.
