A great philosophy it makes sense! This idea really makes sense, i already have raised beds and soil compacted permanent paths so his ideas made sense to me. An ideal way of growing your own if your a keen composter as you will need loads to top dress 4" every year.
THE veg bookThis is my veg growing bible, follow the advice in the book and 9 times out of 10 you will have a succesfull crop.
ViewopenerIt is a new way of caring of your soil and could be definately the way of the new generation of gardeners. It is a "Must be" book for open-minded. Really interesting.
My Gardening BibleI bought this book as a gift for a friend who has just got her first veg plot, I use my copy all the time - Charles has a great writing style, easy to understand and very informative. The No-Dig system is brilliant! The book is well set out and deals with everything you need to know about growing your own vegetables.
Full sun? partial shade?Inspiring.. but where do I place some of these vegetables? full sun? light shade? rhubbarb to be placed away from beds being heavy feeder.. do they like to be next to the compost heap under the tree? out in the open? where do I chuck the drowned slugs? in the compost heap? aahhh questions.
On the whole, the book got us started on veg plots - which is what it is all about. good stuffs.
