Brilliant book for gardeners. If you want to garden organically this is the book for you. Well written ( so interesting I read it in one go!!) and full of information. Bob Flowerdew is god!!
A good readThis is a good book with lots of interesting information on companion gardening. The idea being that you grow plants in the same area so that they work in unison rather than against each other and wildlife.
Within the book, there are lots of great photographs to give you ideas. There could have been more practical tips and a more measured, detailed approach to specific beneficial plants, which is why I am only giving it 3 stars. You see, a tip here and there interspersed between a large section of prose is not going to be as helpful as a table giving a more detailed explanation of the different type of plants and the beneficial wildlife each plant attracts. Nevertheless it is still a good book for the casual reader.
Lots of information, but you need time to use it properlyThis is a great book full of interesting information. The only problem is that each plant is mentioned in different places all over the book, so if you look up one plant which you are interested in in the index, you will then spend ages going from page to page to find out all references to it.
