Small and compact sourcebookA very well presented and informative reference book covering large areas of jewellery making. Nice size. I especially like the spiral binding as it can lie flat, so as not to loose the page when you can come back and look at it while you are experimenting.
Excellent reference guide at a great priceThis book covers pretty much everything you might use in jewellery making, including things not always mentioned elsewhere, for example different ways to use natural materials such as wood, shell, leather, feathers, newer media - acrylics, resin, paper etc, as well as all the standard metals, stones and so on. Gives step by step methods for everything - setting, casting, colouring, I could go on and on. One proviso is that as usual with books that cover so many topics it might give the impression that a method is simpler than it actually is, but has some of the clearest explanations I have come across and definitely has the widest range of topics I have found in one volume.
Would definitely recommend it to anyone wanting to expand the range of jewellery they produce as it offers so many techniques perhaps not explored before, particularly in view of the excellent price compared to other jewellery reference books.
