Simple and preciseHave not read all the way through yet, but seems to be very clear and concise and a good start for the beginner like me
vegetable growingGreat little book everything you need to know what tools to use when to start growing your vegetables Execellent read
Vegetable growing month by monthAs a very keen gardener how is virtually self sufficient in terms of vegetable production I found this book an excellent and easy read which has both given and also confirmed some accepted practises which didnt, until reading the book, make sense but did work.
I would recommend this book to any one even if they have been gardening for years
Vegetable Growing Month-by-MonthA gift for my boyfriend who has just started growing veg in the back garden. He loved the no-nonsense, down-to-earth approach of the book. A good handy reference book that is kept in the shed.
Vegetable Growing Month by MonthA cheap mass market type paperback which should have been described as such. I wanted to throw it away as soon as I opened it. I couldn't bring myself to try to read it. Nasty little thing.
A good way to compare the quality was at hand when I also received the Dorling Kindersely RHS book, Vegetables in a Small Garden. Lots of colour and a real pleasure to handle & look at. I wanted to read it right away.
Suggestion to John Harrison:- Change your publisher and redo the book in a larger format and in colour.
