Unless your nursing in the USA....Unless you are nursing in the USA this book is a waste of money, especially when the BNF is far more informative, clear and concise. Furthermore, where BNF books should be available on every ward there is no need for it.
I bought it in my second year of training following the high reccommendation by a registered nurse. I don't know why she felt it was a valuable tool since a lot of generic drugs used in the UK were not listed. But this isn't a criticism of the book being bad neccessarily but that it does not apply so much to the UK, which in turn made it frustatrating to use when it didn't give me any answers. I do give it a two though to reflect the odd occasion where it has provided some use, but as I said, a waste of money unless you are in or planning to go to the USA.
Rocket scienceI am a first year nursing student. I bought this book to help me understand drug names and applications. This book was way out of my level of first year (less than 6 months)studying.
Great for would be US nurses. This is a great little book to have if you are planning to nurse in America.
