very handy bookGood book for every day use on different 6S and lean tools. Easy to follow and understand. Recommend.
Excellent Reference ToolThis is an excellent reference book.
The tools are laid out in an easy to understand manner and the book concentrates on using tools together. Other books I have read are so concerned with explaining the tools in a strict order that they forget that you need to be able to understand how you approach using & linking them together.
You don't need much understanding of Lean Six Sigma to understand and finds ways to implement tools & techniques from this book.
I would definately recommend it to anyone starting out with DMAIC. Some things take a few times to read for them to sink in but since the book leads from tools logically it's easy to understand where you would need to use them.
For those who use Lean Six Sigma, it's a good reference to dip in and out of.
It's still worth understanding Lean Six Sigma & DMAIC from a more detailed source to understand the overarching framework since this book aims to blast into the tools & techniques.
However, an excellent thought out book. Far better than a few others I have read which despite having more detail, ended up being more vague anyway!!!
Review Lean 6PROS.
Not too large, not too small, just right
Nice examples given
CONS.
Too much scientific terms
General.
Mostly recomended for QA managers; not too much usefull for business oriented professionals
Good if you know where to start.......This book is an excellent guide and very useful.
You do need a reasonable understanding of the tools contained as it is NOT a step by step guide.
Does what it says on the coverThis book summarises around 100 6-Sigma tools and includes an overview of the DMAIC method. Tools are clearly explained, but as indicated by the title this is a handbook - does not provide details and only limited examples.
