Concise Guide to Medicines & DrugsThis is an excellent book for anyone working the Pre-Hospital care field, it has the same information as the larger version but in a size that's small enough to fit into a jacket pocket or workbag for quick and easy reference whilst on the job.
Clearly laid out with drug types, groupings and an alphabetical listing makes it easy to find the info on the relevant drug very quickly.
It also has a full drug index listing not only the generic drug names but it includes the proprietary names as well so it is very user friendly.
Highly recommended and definitely worth the low price, it will pay for itself very quickly in use, you'll wonder how you managed without it..!!

Put your BNF away!This book is excellent. It gives an understandable description of drug groupings and therapeutic usage. There is a section for those taking the drug as well as further information of use to professionals.
Most benefit woill be gained by those of you working in care settings and involved in NVQ. This is the book for you! If you want to extend your knowledge of drugs and their effect (including side effects) this book is the one that will support your learning.
